Vessel Safety Check

Vessel Safety Check at wildlife ramp, Oriental NC

On request and without charge the Auxiliary can perform a Vessel Safety Check (VSC) on your boat or personal water craft. This VSC is performed by a trained Auxiliarist who is kept informed on the latest legal requirements for boaters. The VSC makes sure that the craft has all of the equipment required by Federal and State law. Only you are told the results. If your boat passes this check it will receive a Vessel Safety Check decal and you can be sure your boats' equipment meets safety standards.

For additional information on the Vessel Safety Check Program or information on how to perform your own pre-check visit our National website. To request a Vessel Safety Check contact the Flotilla 20-03.

Scheduled Vessel Safety Checks:

Currently VSCs are scheduled for the first and third Saturday of each month at the Paradise Cove Marina, Merritt, NC (252-249-2025).

Additional VSC locations will be posted as they become available, but you can request a Vessel Safety Check (VSC) at any time by contacting the Flotilla 20-03.
